Online testing

Test a Minecraft plugin online, without installing a server

Yes. Minax tests your plugin on a real Paper server before delivering it, and you can join to try it. You install nothing: describe what you want, the AI writes the Java and delivers a .jar when compilation succeeds. The test server is shared, one game at a time with a queue, and play time depends on your plan.

With Minax you no longer need a local server or a host to check that a plugin works. Describe your plugin, the AI generates and compiles it, then we load it on a real Paper test server: you see whether it starts, whether commands respond and whether there are load errors, straight from your browser.

  • No install: no Java, no local server to configure
  • Runs on a real Paper server, not a simulation
  • Checks startup, commands and load errors
  • Shared test server: one game at a time, play time depends on your plan

Why test a plugin without a server?

Before Minax, trying a plugin meant installing Java, downloading a Paper or Spigot server, configuring it, dropping the .jar into /plugins, launching the console and reading logs. For a simple check that's long and tedious: and many people give up there.

Minax removes that step: the plugin is compiled then automatically loaded on a hosted Paper test server, and we tell you whether it works. You iterate on your idea instead of fighting with setup.

How online testing works

When compilation succeeds, the plugin runs on a real Paper server. We start the server, load the .jar, check that it enables without errors and that its commands respond, then return the result.

  • 1. You describe your plugin in plain English
  • 2. The AI generates the Java code, the plugin.yml and compiles the .jar
  • 3. The .jar is loaded on a Paper test server
  • 4. You see the result: startup OK, commands active, any errors

Online test or local test: which one?

Minax's online test is ideal for quickly validating that a plugin loads and responds, without installing anything. Perfect to prototype an idea, compare two versions or verify a fix.

For an in-depth test in real conditions (multiple players, other plugins, specific config), download the .jar: it's yours: and drop it on your own server. The two are complementary.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to install anything to test a plugin on Minax?

No. Everything happens in the browser: generation, compilation and testing on a Paper server. You install no Java, no server, no software.

Does the test run on a real server or a simulation?

On a real Paper server. The .jar is actually loaded and started, which surfaces real load errors and confirms that commands respond.

Can I then use the plugin on my own server?

Yes. Once the test passes, download the .jar (the code is yours) and drop it into your server's /plugins folder like any plugin.

Is online testing free?

Partly. The test server gives you 5 minutes a month without a plan, 15 with a credit pack. To create the plugin you test, you need a plan: your first plugin with no subscription from €9.99. Credits from a pack stay valid for 36 months.
