MINAX TERMS OF USE
Version of 20 October 2026.
Contents
In short
Minax is open from age 13, without asking your age; under 18, you buy with a parent's agreement. You are talking to an AI: it can make mistakes, so test your plugin before putting it on a real server. A new plugin that works may be published in Discover without your username, and the conversation tells you; you can show your username if you want. You can delete your projects at any time; making a plugin published this way private needs an active subscription or a credit pack paid since this version that is still valid. Plugins that hack, steal or break things are forbidden, and so is illegal or shocking content. If we remove something or block your account, we tell you why and you can challenge it.
1. Who we are
Minax is published by Thomas Bidault, sole proprietor (EI), 26 rue des Ponts, 44470 Thouaré-sur-Loire, France (legal notice: minax.fun/en/legal). These terms apply to any use of minax.fun; purchases are also governed by the Terms of Sale.
2. Your account
2.1 Minax is open from age 13. We don't ask your age. If you are under 18, you use Minax and buy with the agreement of a parent or guardian, who reads these terms with you. If we learn that an account belongs to a child under 13, we delete it with its data.
2.2 One account per person, with a valid email address. Keep your password secret and tell us if someone else uses your account.
2.3 The account is free: you can explore published plugins, keep your projects, download your files and use a few test-server minutes per month. Creating or editing a plugin requires a paid offer (Terms of Sale).
2.4 Sign-up is not possible from the following countries and territories: United Kingdom, Isle of Man, Russia, Belarus, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Cuba, China, Hong Kong, Macao, Venezuela, Myanmar, Afghanistan, Yemen, Kosovo, Western Sahara, Jersey, Guernsey and Gibraltar. Other countries and territories are excluded from purchases (section 12 of the Terms of Sale).
2.5 Referrals. Every account has an invitation link. When someone creates their account with this link and then creates their first project, they and the person who invited them each receive 3 free credits, valid for at least 14 days. When the invited person pays for the first time (top-up or subscription, even if a parent pays), the person who invited them is given 10 credits free of charge, valid for at least 30 days, once per invited person. You cannot invite yourself, and Minax limits the number of sign-ups and referral credits per person and per network. Free credits have no cash value (Terms of Sale, section 2.5).
3. If you are under 18
If you are under 18: ask a parent before buying or accepting audience measurement. You don't switch on ads. A plugin published without you asking never shows your username; don't put your real name or your age in your projects. A parent can exercise your rights by writing to us.
4. The test server
It is temporary: a session lasts 30 minutes at most, then the server stops and its world is deleted. To play on it, you need an account with the paid version of Minecraft Java Edition: those are Minecraft's rules. The server may check this with Microsoft (Mojang) when a player joins (privacy policy, section 3), and it then refuses an account that does not own the game. To protect it, its address is picked at random for each session, the first player who joins is added to the list of allowed players, and the server then closes to everyone else; you can add a friend's username from the server screen. When the server does not check accounts, this list is not enough to protect it: anyone can join by using the username of a player on the list, even yours. Only give its address to people you trust, and don't share personal information in the game chat; harassment and hate speech are forbidden. Server logs (usernames, player identifiers, IP addresses, chat) are deleted within 10 minutes after the session ends; the usernames of players who joined stay in your session history. Minax may close a session in case of abuse.
5. What is forbidden
Requesting, publishing or sharing a plugin that gives hidden access (backdoor, secret operator), steals accounts, passwords or tokens, crashes or destroys servers or worlds you do not own, or bypasses a third-party server's anti-cheat; creating or publishing content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, sexual involving minors, or that infringes others' rights (copyright, trademark, image, privacy); impersonating someone; bypassing the service's limits (multiple accounts, credit abuse); reselling access or automating use without permission; using Minax from an excluded country or for a sanctioned person. Minax may refuse a request, block a download, suspend an account and alert the authorities in case of a serious offence (section 10).
6. Your published projects
A new project may be published in Discover without any action from you, whatever your age, as soon as its plugin works: its .jar file is ready and loads without errors on our test server. The conversation tells you. It is published without your username: its page only says it was made with Minax. What becomes visible: its name, a description written by the AI from its code and your request (never your message word for word; the AI is instructed to include no name, username, link or contact detail), its images, its source files and its .jar file. At the time of publication, never published this way: a plugin that doesn't work or has an unfinished feature, a remix, a project our rules set aside, a project whose name or description contains an email address or a number to reach someone, and a project whose name, description or files contain an email address, your username (if it has at least 5 characters), the start of your account's email address, or your name as given to us by the service you sign in with. Once published, it stays public when you change it: its new versions are published as they are, without a new check. You can show your username on a published plugin, then hide it, whenever you want. Making a plugin published this way private needs an active subscription or a credit pack paid since this version came into force that is still valid: you then make it private in one click; without either, it stays public, and you can always delete it. The pack keeps that choice until it expires, even if Minax later changes its offers; a pack that is refunded in full, withdrawn or disputed no longer opens it. A paid top-up bought before this automatic publishing started also keeps that choice until it expires. Projects created before this version keep their visibility. A project you publish yourself shows what you see before publishing it: its name, its description and, unless it is hidden, your username. For any published project, you allow Minax, free of charge, worldwide and for as long as it stays public, to copy and display on minax.fun, in search engines and in link previews its name, description, your username if shown, its images, its source files and its downloadable .jar file, and to adapt how it is presented (summary, translation, layout). You also allow other users to download its .jar file and source files and to modify them for their personal use. Another user can also "remix" it: Minax then copies its files, description, image and the project's latest conversation with the AI (never that of a plugin published without your action) into a new private project in their name, which shows the original project. They may then publish that remix on Minax; its page shows the original project. There is no option to refuse remixes of a published project: if you don't want it remixed, make it private or delete it. You can make it private (with an active subscription or a pack that opens this choice, for a plugin published without your action) or delete it at any time from its settings: it then disappears from our pages within 48 hours; copies already stored by search engines may remain for a few days.
7. Generated code and licences
7.1 Minax assigns to you all rights it may hold in the code, files and textures produced for you (reproduction, modification, distribution, including commercial), worldwide and for the full term of those rights. AI-generated content may not be protected by copyright: Minax does not guarantee that you will be able to stop others from copying it.
7.2 Technical files Minax adds to your projects (for example the resource pack manager) are licensed to you under the MIT licence.
7.3 Your plugins use components that belong neither to you nor to Minax: the Paper API (GPL-3.0 licence), the libraries declared in your project's pom.xml file, each under its own licence, and the Minecraft game (Mojang AB and Microsoft). Minax does not give you a list of these licences: check them and follow them when you share a plugin.
7.4 Selling a plugin remains subject to the Minecraft End User License Agreement (EULA), the Minecraft Usage Guidelines and the rules of each marketplace; some, such as BuiltByBit, ban content that is largely AI-generated.
7.5 Without a subscription or a valid paid top-up, Minax may add "Made with Minax (minax.fun)" to the description in plugin.yml; you may remove it.
7.6 You keep the rights in the text and images you send; you allow Minax to use them only to provide the service to you. Don't ask for copies of works you have no rights to.
7.7 The Minax website, software and brand remain the publisher's property.
8. Artificial intelligence
You are talking to Minax's AI, not a human. It relies on models from Anthropic (Claude) to write code, OpenAI for documentation search and voice dictation, Google (Gemini) for illustration images and as a backup AI, and Retro Diffusion for textures; Minax adds its own compilation, testing and verification tools. The AI can make mistakes, including about facts: check its answers and test your plugin. Don't type personal information (real name, address, password). Under their terms, these providers do not use your requests to train their models. Textures and project illustration images created by Minax are generated by AI; Minax does not yet add a marking that says so. Automatic filters may refuse a dangerous request; you can challenge the refusal with a human.
9. Moderation and reports
What is forbidden is listed in section 5. We check public content (published projects, profiles, images) when someone reports it with the Report button, found on every public page and in the conversation, and sometimes on our own. Anyone can report, even without an account. Automatic filters may refuse a request; any decision to remove content or suspend an account is made or reviewed by a human. We acknowledge every report and tell the reporter our decision. In short: no plugin that hacks, steals or breaks things; no shocking or illegal content; if we remove something, we tell you why and you can challenge it.
10. Suspension and closure
For a serious breach (malicious code, payment fraud, bypassing limits, illegal content), Minax may suspend the account or remove the content immediately; otherwise after a warning by email. Each decision is explained to you by email: the facts, the rule concerned (section of these terms or law), any use of an automatic tool, and how to challenge it, by replying within 6 months so that a human reviews it again, or in court. If the account is closed for good, unused paid credits are refunded, except in case of fraud.
11. Deleting your account
In Settings you can export your data and delete your account. Deletion takes place 30 days after your request, and you can cancel it during that time. Before deleting your account, you can ask for a refund of unused paid credits in the cases set out in the Terms of Sale.
12. Liability
Minax is liable for damage caused by a breach of its obligations, under general law. You remain responsible for how you use plugins on your servers, in particular for testing them before opening them to other players. Minax is not liable for damage caused by changes you or someone else made to the plugin, or by use that breaks these terms or the law. Nothing in these terms limits the rights the law gives you as a consumer, including the legal guarantee of conformity.
13. Changes
Minax tells you about every change by email or by a message in your Minax account: at least 30 days before it takes effect if it is to your detriment, and as soon as it is published in all other cases. A change in your favour applies immediately. A change to your detriment only applies to a subscriber with their express consent; without it, they may cancel free of charge before it takes effect. A change to the price or content of a paid offer never applies to a period already paid.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. If the user is a consumer, this choice does not deprive them of the protection of the mandatory rules of the law of the country where they habitually live. In case of a dispute, the consumer may bring proceedings before the courts where they live or the competent French courts; Minax may only bring proceedings against the consumer before the courts where the consumer lives. Mediation: see section 13 of the Terms of Sale.
15. Contact and single point of contact
dev@minax.fun. This is the point of contact for authorities and users (Regulation (EU) 2022/2065, Articles 11 and 12), in French or English. Every message is read by a human.
16. Minecraft
NOT AN OFFICIAL MINECRAFT SERVICE. NOT APPROVED BY OR ASSOCIATED WITH MOJANG OR MICROSOFT. Minecraft is a trademark of Mojang AB.
